As a guest speaker Mr. Pradeep Naithani came to enlighten the topic, Mr. Naithani is Vice President-Sales and Distribution -Banking Channel -New Delhi, HSBC Asset Management Company. In brief, he has 17 Years plus experience in Sales/Marketing/Business Development of Mutual Funds through all Channels (Banks, NDs., Retail & Institutions) across UP, Rajasthan & Delhi Markets. Managed the Banking and NDs channel for Eastern India Based in Kolkata from 2017 Nov to June 2022 prior to HSBC, he was cluster head for UP and Uttarakhand in Sundaram Mutual fund.
The objective of the guest lecture was to make students aware of the existing and future opportunities in the financial sector. Mr. Naithani highlighted 4 dimensions of the financial industry that is Banking, Insurance, Capital Market, and Pension funds. He separately highlighted how students can do their own business as entrepreneurs and jobs in these sectors. He discussed the supervision of the different regulatory bodies and pointed out that the market regulator in the Indian capital market is the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). IRDAI: The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (IRDA) does the same for the insurance sector. RBI: Reserve Bank of India (RBI) conducts the country's monetary policy. These different regulatory bodies also provide ample opportunities to further motivated students to improve better knowledge and communication to secure good business or jobs.
